Where we want to take the Art of War next

Retreat

We are working on taking the Art of War to the next level. Brian has purchased a piece of property in the mountains of Washington state he wants to use as a retreat for war veterans. It is truly peace on earth. The perfect place for people to just loose the stresses of life and relax.

A work in progress

There is main house on the property as well as a small shop, a small cottage, and a teepee. It is our dream to make the shop larger and add a tree house so we can offer more space and places to sleep. When the shop is done at the cabin veterans will be able to work in the cabin shop, as well as work at the Woodinville shop. Days will be spent making various projects and evening spent around the camp fire sharing stories of our travels.

When complete

We  will be able to run a 2-3 day retreat for up to 3 couples not just for the war veteran but their significant others as well. Veterans with issues are not easy to live with and partners need to know that they are not alone. So for every war veteran dealing with PTSD there is another life also affected. Veterans have quite a few avenues of support. Unfortunately not the case for the person living with that veteran. It will be an all inclusive kind of thing. The veteran will never pay a dime for anything we do here. Meals, lodging, art supplies, are all taken care of. Hopefully at some point we can also afford to bring veterans here from different parts of the US.
